Please note that the Bonus ball number is not included, as it is not a number that can be selected when you purchase a ticket.
The most up to date Irish Lotto Cold Numbers are displayed below. They are analysed in the same way after each draw, and the six numbers that are most 'overdue' to be drawn are listed.
There is no way to guarantee when any of these numbers will be drawn next, they are simply statistical analysis and are not guaranteed to win in any future draw.
By analysing the winning numbers from previous draws in which the Division 1 jackpot was won and comparing those with other draws where mutual numbers have provided big wins, the following prediction for Irish Lotto has been made:
Please note, these predicted numbers are in no way guaranteed to win a prize in the Irish Lotto or any other lottery game. They are statistical analysis of previous winning numbers.
Winning a prize in the Irish Lotto draws is relatively easy in comparison to other European lotteries, which is why it has become so popular among bettors around the world.
The overall odds of winning a prize are an impressive 1 in 29, thanks to the 6/47 matrix. While the matrix makes it harder to achieve a Division 1 prize when compared to games such as South Africa's Daily Lotto, the odds do mean that the Irish Lotto can regularly offer rolling jackpots in to the tens of millions of Euros.
To win, you must match at least three numbers; these can either be three main numbers or two main numbers plus the Bonus ball. The Division 1 jackpot is won when a player matches all six main numbers drawn. Take a look at the prize payouts table below for more details.
Division | Matched Numbers | Odds of Winning | Average Prize (EUR) |
---|---|---|---|
8 | 2 main numbers + Bonus number | 1 in 72 | €3.00 |

Your approximate chances of winning a prize in the Irish Lotto are 1 in 29. |
The Irish Lotto game follows a traditional lottery draw-style format that most major lotteries around the world use.
Every Wednesday and Saturday night, ticket sales close across Ireland before the draws begin. In a televised broadcast of the drawings, the Lotto Plus 2 draw is made first, where six main numbers and one Bonus number are extracted from the machine. Next, the Lotto Plus 1 machine begins spinning, before the same amount of numbers are drawn. Finally, the main Lotto draw machine begins spinning and the main draw is underway.
After the draws have taken place, the lottery operators in Ireland confirm the prize payout amounts for each of the three draws, based on ticket sales and the number of winners in each division. At this point, it is also confirmed whether or not the jackpot was won.
Thanks to websites such as LotteryWorld that offer bets on international lotteries, Irish Lotto is available in most countries around the world.
When betting online, you choose your numbers the same way that you would if you were purchasing a ticket for the game; you must pick six main numbers or opt for a Quick Pick. Some betting operators also allow betting on specific markets such as the Bonus Ball.
When betting at LotteryWorld, you will automatically be notified of any wins that your bet achieves. Prizes are matched to the main game, so you win the same amount that you would if you had purchased an actual ticket.
As is the case in most countries where a 'Plus' style draw is offered, entry is optional. For an extra fee, players can enter their main Lotto numbers into the Plus 1, Plus 2 and Plus Raffle draws for three extra chances to win.
It is not possible to enter the Plus draws in Ireland without entering the main draw first. For bettors outside of the country, it may be possible to bet on specific Plus draws as standalone games, however you would need to check with your betting operator.
The Plus 1 draw has a fixed Division 1 prize of €1,000,000, while Plus 2 offers €250,000 for the same division. Take a look at the prizes available in the table below.
