Hot Numbers
With MillionDay draws taking place each day, the Hot Numbers (those that are drawn the most often) can change on a frequent basis. The five numbers that have been drawn the most amount of times since the beginning of the game are displayed.
The numbers shown are purely statistical and are in no way guaranteed to win a prize in any current or future lottery draw.
Cold Numbers
Similarly, the Cold Numbers are those that have been drawn the least often since the game began. This does not mean that these numbers are any less likely to be drawn in a future draw, they are simply the result of statistical analysis of previous draws.
As with the Hot Numbers, these numbers can change frequently due to the daily nature of the MillionDay game.
Smart Pick Predictions for Italy MillionDay
Using a combination of hot and cold numbers, as well as numbers that have been drawn in jackpot-winning draws since the game launched, the following Predictions for MillionDay have been generated.
As draws take place twice a day, the Million Day prediction shown is likely to change frequently. As each draw passes, the frequency of certain numbers appearing also changes - as it does with any lottery.
Please note that these numbers are predicted solely based on previous draws and as such they are not in any way guaranteed to be drawn. The outcome of previous drawings has no bearing whatsoever on the potential outcome of future games and there is no way to accurately guess which balls may be drawn.
The prediction shown does not include statistics from the Extra MillionDay draw, as the numbers for that game cannot be picked separately when playing in Italy.
How to Win the Italian MillionDay Lottery
Depending on the way in which you play MillionDay, there are different ways to win.
If you purchase your ticket through the official provider in Italy, you have a total of four prize divisions available in which you can win a prize. If you place a bet internationally, however, the prizes will vary depending on the bet method. Your bookmaker should be able to confirm the prize amounts before you place a bet.
In the main game, to win the Division 1 jackpot, you need to match all five numbers drawn. The odds of doing so are approximately 1 in over 3.4 million. Take a look at each division below, the odds of winning and the prize amounts. Prize amounts are guaranteed and are not paid on a pari-mutuel basis, so you always know what you’re playing for.
Your approximate chances of winning a prize in the Italy Million Day draw are approximately 1 in 17, making it one of the international lotteries with the best overall chances of winning a prize. Take a look at the European Lotteries page for more details.
How MillionDay Works
MillionDay is a traditional draw-based lottery game in which five numbers are drawn from a pool of 55. There is no bonus ball number, which means that the simplicity of the game makes it popular among regular players, newcomers and those betting on the game internationally.
There is a draw at 1:00pm, with ticket sales closing at 12:50pm, and another in the evening at 8:30pm, with ticket sales closing at 8:20pm. Once the draws have taken place, ticket sales reopen for the following draw five minutes later.
Once the five winning numbers have been drawn, they are published online. Those that have purchased a ticket or placed a bet online are automatically notified of any wins, and there is no urgency to claim your prize as it is paid into your account for you.
Tickets cost €1 each, which means that the low entry cost often means that many tickets are sold for each draw, creating thousands of winners in the lower tiers.
Advance play is available for up to 20 consecutive draws, if you are purchasing a ticket instore in Italy.
Taxes on MillionDay prizes
While lottery prizes are taxed at the source in Italy (meaning that tax is deducted before prize amounts are confirmed), winners don’t need to pay any tax on top. MillionDay takes this into account, which means that in actual fact the prizes are larger than those stated in the payouts table, however they equate to the stated amounts once the tax has been deducted. For example, the Division 4 prize is actually worth €2.17, however once taxes have been deducted, this equals out at €2.00.
